About Negroni Week

From September 22nd to 28th 2025, Campari, Italy’s iconic red apéritif, and Imbibe Magazine will come together for Negroni Week once again to support Slow Food’s mission to foster a more equitable and sustainable world of food and beverage through a series of local events at bars, restaurants and retailers around the world.

With the unbreakable bond between bartenders and the world of mixology, the global charity initiative puts the power of fundraising in the hands of the industry, growing over the past decade to attract thousands of partners in over 80 markets, and raising over $4 million for global causes.

Slow Food, the official giving partner for the second year, is a global movement of local communities and activists, across more than 160 countries. Just like Campari and the Negroni, Slow Food has Italian roots, creating the perfect pairing.

THERE IS NO NEGRONI WITHOUT CAMPARI

Since its creation in 1919, Campari has been the red heart of the Negroni. This timeless bond has stood the test of time with the Negroni now named as the world’s best-selling classic cocktail.* This achievement is a testament to the unwavering, collaborative passion from bartenders in sharing their skill to the world.

Negroni Week offers cocktail enthusiasts the opportunity to celebrate cocktail culture and show appreciation for the art of mixology. It’s a time to recognise the dedication and skill of bartenders who masterfully create one of the world’s most iconic and loved cocktails.

In tribute to the Timeless Bonds between Campari, the Negroni and bartenders, this year Campari will bring together some of the world’s best bartenders to celebrate both their bond with each other and the classic Negroni cocktail.

The Story Behind The Icon - Looking for Negroni

The Story Behind The Icon - Looking for Negroni

Florence, 1919. Count Camillo Negroni is spending his evening, as he usually does, at the Caffè Casoni. But something is different: as he is placing his order, he asks his bartender and friend, Fosco Scarselli, to add a splash of gin to his usual Americano.

This Negroni Week, immerse yourself fully in the story behind this iconic cocktail with the documentary Looking for Negroni where Luca Picchi and other master bartenders retrace all its history, from its birth to its rising fame.

About Negroni

Simple and balanced, the Negroni is considered to be one of the most famous Italian cocktails in the world. Invented in 1919 by Count Negroni – who asked to add a touch of gin rather than soda to his Americano – the cocktail was named in his honor.
